陈勋奇是公认的香港电影全才，他既是香港导演里最出色的配乐，配乐里最出色的制片，制片里最出色的飞车指导，飞车指导里最出色的编剧，编剧里最著名的演员之一，演员里最成功的导演之一。他提倡拍青春励志动作片，武术场面追求火爆、热闹，但意识形态一定积极向上，这一点也很受海内外业界好评。
